ohh yeah, I have a blog don't I? haha.

Uhmm...events to blog about. I got in a car wreck last Wednesday, it sucked hardcore and my neck is still a little stiff because of it. We need a new car now. Maybe my mom and I should never ride together in a car again....

I *just* finished ripping all of my CDs on to my computer...you know...the ones I bought like 3 months ago. heh, and now I have some 3 or so comps from Hastings that I haven't ripped yet. AND at some point I need to start putting all of this on to my laptop. Maybe then I can burn a mix cd without putting fifty in our cd-drive, since something about the drivers are all messed up.

This guy came in yesterday Journey's that was HILARIOUS. He walked in the store and immediately starts singing at the top of his lungs. Very, very loudly. And his friend was obviously embarrassed by this - "yeah, he's a singer". Singing guy (by the name of Mathew) was telling Amy how his 'indie-alternative' band has signed to a record label. He was also flirting with me hardcore. It was pretty funny, I laughed.

I went by Shake's today to get my check and ask when I worked this week - there's like three managers there, and one of them had told me that I worked 5-10 yesterday. But I wasn't on the schedule for this week at all. So, Mary tells me that I can call Amy tomorrow and get that sorted out, and asked when I was moving again - I told her that the last week I should be on the schedule would probably be the last week in June or the first week in July. After this I leave, go run some other errands, and then go to the mall to talk to Amy about something, and I get a phone call. It's Mary, and she's like "well, if you don't have a problem with it, we're just not going to put you back on the schedule since you're leaving so soon and it's hardly worth the trouble."

haha, I got let go! Oh well. Now I have real incentive to start working on my etsy shop. At the very least, I have one plain jacket that just needs stencilled on, one jacket that needs dyed and then stencilled on, and some destashing of yarn to do. That should all be relatively painless to list. And then dig through all of my thrifted clothes I have laying around and start working on those too. And at some point, I need to bag up a ton of stuff and send it off to goodwill. AND properly clean my room, since it'll probably be a pain to move everything if it's all messy. blah. So, my to-do list for this week:

-list destash yarn, whether on etsy or the destash blog, whatever
-list jacket
-finish x-ray spex shirt, for me
-finish rainbow messenger bag that is taking FOR FREAKING EVER, special order
-get extra crap to goodwill.

Maybe if I have a list that'll make it easier to get it all done. baby steps...

la di da. I need to finish my two shirts(or, more correctly, a shirt and a sweater) so I can do more pictures with Alicia. (The ones we did yesterday turned out pretty freakin' awesome, by the way. can't wait to get them on CD so I can get some prints) My ideas with the two handspun yarns didn't really work out. Still clueless as to what to do with them. I did come up with a neat idea involving hot pink nylon thread. You'll see...

my etsy sales have been nonexistent, except for the one hat. I need to get the purse and cloche I have here up (which I haven't mostly because it involves stitching up the purse, and crocheting a flower for the cloche). Maybe mark down some of the more wintery stuff? spring stuff is hard...there's not a lot you can do that's one-size-fits all. I have a few thrifty things to remake. blah blah blah...*makes a list*

oh yeah, and people are way stupid. but you guys already knew that, right?

Clearance aisles are really bad for me. How, you ask?





That's how. Ouch. But look...that fabric (the neon colored leopard print and zebra print stuff, which probably everyone except me will find godawful ugly) was $1.50 a yard! and those quilter block thingies were like $3.50. No, I don't quilt. But I bet I can make some great appliques out of them. And the yarn was cheap too. And look - that blue yarn (which you can't really see) matches the blue houndstooth. And then all that cotton yarn was on sale at Hobby Lobby and I NEEDED those colors for a hat in progress. I also got some bamboo knitting needles with a coupon for my sister, because she has taken up knitting. Kind of. And those shoes were $12! $12!!! I can blame the shoes on Lydia at least, because she made the mistake of showing me the clearance aisle in shoes. Yeah, it's her fault.

My shrug is almost done. I need to make the hood, and I need to seam up the sleeves. and then make the patches for the shoulders...I decided it was too plain, so I'm going to embroider swallows (old sailor-jerry style) in black on the pink stuff that I got on clearance, and sew those on it. that should do it. and one of the neon-animal prints is going to be a laptop bag, for my new squishy. (yes, that is what I decided to name it) I was going to crochet one out of this wool that I have and felt it, and then embroider a lotus on it. then I realized it would take like 6 balls of yarn, and I only have two (one already crocheted up). But I still like the idea. Just have nothing to make with it.

Working on editing pictures of hats for my shop. I still need to set up a paypal account so that I can actually start listing items. Plus I have some new ideas. Not enough time in the day....considering that I still to need vacuum the house, among other things, before I leave, and I wanted to go someplace with wifi to download some more things.

I'm still enjoying the lack of school. Even if it might mean that I'll have to graduate later, which I'm trying not to think about.
