You know your siblings have been watching too much daytime tv when...

Yesterday we were going through the mail and there was a thick book for me. Ashley looks at it and goes "USC...that's University of Southern California." Logan jumps up and goes "And southern California is where..." "Family Feud is at!" "Michelle! You need to go to that college so that we can be on Family Feud!"

...

Check it out...it's me in South Park style! (which I saw my first episode of last night...although I only really caught the last half of it at Jess's house)

Jessica got her Warped Tour photos back(I haven't put mine up for development yet) and here's a few of the best ones:

Us at the end of the day...hot, sweaty, and thoroughly gross...

Me crowdsurfing to NOFX...best picture there was of it...

El Hefe and Fat Mike. Fat Mike is the one wearing stripes with plaid.

Not much of interest going on. Rather uneventful weekend, etc. umm...Jessica got a new cell phone. That's about the biggest thing that I can recall from this weekend. Pirates of the Caribbean II is coming up and we have a little group of friends going, we're all going to dress as pirates. Shredded pants, corsets under big stripy tops(assuming I can find something corsety looking within my budget. maybe I'll make a duct-tape one). Actually I might not have the big stripy top depending on the budget. and plastic swords. It'll be fun either way. In the way that involves a large amount of people looking at you as though you're absolutely insane.

Feeling much better. Except that I don't seem to want to eat anything except for once every eight hours or so. Which is extremely weird for the person who normally can't eat enough of anything ever.

la la la. thunderstorms today. electricity went out. fun stuff all around lemme tell ya. Logan had a friend over and I was about ready to strangle the both of them. Makes me glad I don't have two younger brothers.

haha I just found this...George Carlin's New Rules for 2006: (yeah I know, little late now but what can you do...edited it out because the font wouldn't go down, stupid thing, I'm sure you can find it on google...now this font is all wonky too)

Which reminds me of something else I saw that cracked me up. The only forwardish thing I've seen in years that made me laugh.

ugh. so, whatever it is (newest theory is flu or something) it hasn't gone away yet. I've now got a mild fever and threw up again at like 11:30. So far I've managed to keep down seven crackers and a jello-cup thingie. and some pop and water. even aside from the upset stomach, my head is absolutely killing me and it feels like someone beat the living crap out of me (aside from the general warped-tour soreness). It hurts to move my neck or shoulders. and I'm running a mild fever, 100 degrees. I can't eat anything good, it's all crackers and blah. can't do my yoga either.

I better be feeling better by the weekend or I shall be angry. either way, no matter what it is, I am NEVER EVER eating McDonald's again(wasn't my choice of food) and I might never eat french fries again period. ughhhhh.

but yeah, warped was awesome. Although the merch dude at the NOFX booth charged me $5 extra and I didn't realize this until the way home. pictures will be up as soon as I get them developed.

warped tour: beyond awesome.

waking up at ungodly hours the morning afterwards puking for no discernable reason: not so much.

but, I saw NOFX live. and crowdsurfed twice. and got thrown over the guard rail and took a picture (which irritated the security guards). so my life is now complete, puking or no.

more updates later when I haven't been up for an hour trying to settle my stomach.

A pool table.

hahaha (I was amused anyways)...uhh yeah not much of event going on. Tammy's coming over tonight, there will be pizza and 80s movies and it shall be fun. I'm in the process of cleaning the house/making it smell nice (yay for incense) in preparation. (also because I used it as a bargaining chip, but hey...)

Warped Tour is on Monday. We don't have tickets yet. Yay for last minute online ordering!

Yaaay Jessica gets back from Arizona today! We're going to Olive Garden probably. And hanging out lots either way.

Warped Tour is less than a week away wooooo!

so, here's two of my random handiworks from a while ago:

the stencilling took FOREVER. holy crap talk about your details. The poster took me a few weeks in art, I think I finished it two days before school got out. I was bad with the procrastinating. I couldn't fit the rest of the phrase on it, either, apparently I was writing too big. (the whole phrase was "People should not fear their government. The government should fear its people.") It was a weave drawing...take two pictures and cut 'em into strips, and I'll leave it to you readers to deduce the rest. Fun stuff.

uuughh...I am never ever EVER drinking Red Bull again. *ever*.

I spent the night at Stacia's house Saturday night...watched movies and late-night TV(including lots of Maximum Exposure, which is like cops and amateur Jackass rolled into one, and the original House on Haunted Hill...which is...stupid). I didn't want to be dead all day so I drank a Red Bull the next morning and I was sick at my stomach most of the day yesterday and still feel kind of icky.

I slept weird too. I went to bed at nineish, woke up at six-thirty, still tired but couldn't sleep. So I got up and wandered around, went back to bed at seven forty five or so, still couldn't sleep. Got back up at eight fifteen, ate a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats, promptly got super-tired and fell asleep in the living room at nine or so, slept until ten thirty, and then moved to my bedroom and slept until eleven thirty. I'm sure you're all fascinated by this. I had weeeeird dreams too. Something about an autistic (I think) kid named Kenya and a lot of tents, and a blue truck.

I watched Jurassic Park yesterday. haha I forgot that I like that movie so much. I think I probably watched it once a week when I was a kid...

Saturday, June 10, 2006

Lalalala. ahem. Nothing much happening. I went shopping last night. Or attempted to, at any rate, alas, fate would not have it. Or the clock wouldn't have it. Or the freaking bank people who were completely closed up at exactly seven. I was muchly irritated because Bath and Body Works is having a huge sale and I couldn't buy anything. Grr, argh.

Umm...yeah sadly that's the most eventful thing that's happened recently. Jessica's in Arizona with her cousins so no hanging out with her 'til Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, I think. I might be hanging out with Stacia and maybe spending the night over there when she gets off work, but that's not 'til five. I think we might be having an eighties movie night...

I feel pukey. Yick.

And so it was, our beloved corporate gods...

Tuesday, June 06, 2006

Soo, I wouldn't usually cross-post (yes, that means I did actually update my other blog, just like I said!), but this bothers me enough to.

umm...yeah I'm sleepy. Been a pretty uneventful day of the beast and such. Although I have to go to a Project Graduation thing tonight (kind of fitting).

Monday, June 05, 2006

Good weekend - went shopping with Lydia, went to Stacia's, went shopping again Sunday, fun to be had all around. Going out with Lydia/Alicia/Jess/maybe Tammy later today.

Ancient Greek Ethics

Aristotle's Golden Mean is the principal of this ethical school of thought. Essentially everyone must find balance in ethical decisions. Since it is often difficult to come to a decision one way or the other, Aristotle suggests comprimising between two extremes and doing what would fall into 'the Golden Mean' in the situation.

So, I had something in mind, and by the time this stupid page loaded, I'd forgotten it. Oh well.

Yeah. So one of our dogs died last night. I didn't even know why he was inside - in the same place we had the dog whose leg was broken (more on that in a second) - and when I went back there, he was breathing all heavy, I just left him alone and didn't even think anything of it. And then I went back again some thirty minutes later because Delilah (other dog) was howling. He wasn't moving, so I yelled, and still no response. I opened the x-pen and shook him and yeah he had already started to stiffen up...it seriously freaked me out. I dunno why it shook me up quite so bad, it's just so jarring because a little while ago he was fine. Not fine, I didn't know he wasn't fine, but he was alive and there, and suddenly, whatever it is that makes us us, a soul or spark or random firing electricity or what-have-you, whatever, was gone and there was just a body left. It's disturbing. All of this happening when I was home alone probably didn't help.

The other dog, Delilah, Jessica accidentally hit her last week. Not a serious injury, just a broken leg, and Jessica was about hysterical about it because she felt so bad. It turns out that that probably saved her life...for the first three or so days afterwards, she wouldn't eat, and we thought it was because she'd been hit. Chompers, the dog that died (yeah my little brother named him), and Oz, another one of our dogs, were acting funny starting a few days ago. Turns out she was sick and we just didn't realize it, and she lived because we were paying such close attention. Oz has the same thing, and I was freaking out last night because I couldn't find him after Chompers died...we did find him, and he's doing better. I think.

In other news, I saw a few different people on LJ doing something called '101 things in 1001 days', basically a list of things you're supposed to do within 1001 days. Which is like, a little over three years. Well, I figured my attention span is way too freakin' short for that and that by the time I got to the end of three years, my personal goals would probably change. So, I did 10 things to do in 101 days. That's 6/4/06 to 9/13/06. If I get all of these done, maybe I'll consider doing the longer one.

1. (private)
2. (private)
3. Do yoga at least three times a week.
4. Otherwise exercise twice a week.
5. Get a job! And work at least 20 hours a week
6. Meditate every day for at least 20 minutes.

8. Make blog posts at least once a week, on both blogs.
9. Brush up on my ancient Egyptian/work on basic Latin.
10. Make at least 10 original items of clothing. (that one might be iffy - it's the original part that's going to be hard haha)

haha.

From the website: Author Note:I don't think Schizoid personality is a valid disorder, some of the smartest people in history were schizoid because they occupied a remote end of the intelligence bell curve. Schizotypal personality can encompass highly original thinkers as well as totally insane people so I think it's a flawed type. I think the remaining eight disorders are generally valid.

Since I always test high for schizotypal, yeah let's go with that. I'm not ke-razy, I swear...
